Paramount partnered with TriplePlay Studios during the MLB playoffs in summer 2022.

Actors with creepy smiles and bright "SMILE" shirts attended high-profile MLB and NFL games, remaining in camera view.

The unsettling smiles were maintained throughout the games, creating an eerie, memorable experience.

The Results:

The campaign generated:

  • 160 million organic media views
  • 100 million media impressions in one week
  • Over 170 million views on social platforms
  • Featured in major outlets like CNN, TMZ, ESPN, and AdWeek
  • Topped the box office with $30 million on opening weekend, grossing over $216 million globally on a $17 million budget.
